PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent selection and display of unnecessary guide information, in a system for providing guide information such as a restaurant or movie theater in a specified place.

SOLUTION: This guide information providing system selects and provides guide information satisfying a time condition using the current time as a reference for the specified place using the time information of the guide information. Thus, guide information can be limited to only the guide information satisfying the time condition. When the guide information is about a store or a facility including business time information (start time to finish time), the time condition is that the business finish time is the current time or later, and only the guide information about the store or facility in business can be set to be displayed. Thus, unnecessary guide information about the store or facility after the completion of business can be prevented from being displayed.
