<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair profile control agent's first agent not damaging hair even if applied to a perming treatment and also excellent in storage stability. <P>SOLUTION: The hair profile control agent's first agent includes (A) a hair-reducing substance, (B) anα,ω-dicarboxylic acid of general formula (1) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is a 3-8C alkylene group) or a salt thereof, (C) a polyol and (D) an organic alkaline agent or ammonia.
