A method for preparing a substrate for growing the common mushroom including the use of mineral and nitrogen-containing additives such that the amount of the urea which is added to a substrate while mixing components is calculated on the basis of the content of total nitrogen in chicken manure and moisture content thereof, and soybean cake is added into the last aeration in an amount of 1.5% from crude mass of the substrate.
