<p>This invention provides a natural gas liquefaction plant including: a liquefying apparatus 11 that liquefies a natural gas 111 by heat exchange with refrigerants 135, 145, 155; refrigerant compressors 13, 14, 15 that compress the refrigerants 134, 144, 154 supplied to the liquefying apparatus 11; motors 131, 141, 151 that drive the refrigerant compressors 13, 14, 15; normally active power generator equipment sets 21-25 and standby power generator equipment 25, both kinds of power generator equipment being adapted to generate electric power for driving the motors 131, 141, 151; and a control apparatus 40 which, if one of the normally active power generator equipment sets 21-24 (e.g., the power generator equipment set 24) comes to an operational stoppage, increases output levels of the normally active power generator equipment sets 21-23 other than the power generator equipment whose operation has stopped, and starts the standby power generator equipment 25. This configuration allows the plant to suppress decreases in a supply rate of electric power due to an operational stoppage of turbine power generator equipment.</p> |
