A battery test apparatus and test method are provided to exactly test the function of secondary battery of a mobile phone in charging. An apparatus for testing a battery comprises an input control device and output control device. The input control device controls the input power to a secondary battery by charging device. The output control device discharges the secondary battery by controlling the output power from the secondary battery.
