A method for blocking the DDoS and an apparatus thereof are provided to block the DDoS as receiving normal service providing requests. It is determined whether traffic, doubted as the DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) to an origin server, is generated(S202). By requesting a DNS(Domain Name Server) to change the address of the origin server into IP(Internet Protocol) addresses of a plurality of servers, an attack determining device makes the IP addresses changed in the DNS(S204) and then determines whether the traffic is the DDoS(S206). If not, the attack determining device requests the DNS to change the IP addresses of plural server into the address of the origin server(S208).
