NEGATIVE ELECTRODE FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY COMPRISING SAME

A negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery is provided to ensure excellent lifetime property by suppressing volume expansion and interfacial reaction with electrolyte at a plate. A negative electrode(112) for a lithium secondary battery comprises a current collector(1); a porous active material layer(2) which is formed on the current collector and includes metallic active material; and a high strength binder layer(3) formed on the porous active material layer. The high strength binder layer has the strength of 5-70 MPa and includes a high strength binder and filler. The high strength binder has crystallinity of 10-70 % and a glass transition temperature(Tg) of -100 to 100 °C.
