<p>A pneumatic tire reduced in air column resonance level and improved in drainage performance. In the pneumatic tire wherein main grooves (1) are extended in the treads in the circumferential direction of the tire, a plurality of long holes (11) extended in the depth direction of the main grooves (1) and communicating grooves (12) extended at a slant with respect to the surfaces of the treads to make the long holes (11) communicate with each other are formed in the side faces (10) on both sides of the main grooves (1). The long holes (11) have a width (w1) and a depth (d1), each being at least 0.2 mm and 0.01 to 0.25 times as large as the width (W) of the main grooves (1), and the height (h) of the long holes (11) is 50 to 80% of the depth (D) of the main grooves (1).The intervals (p1) between the long holes (11) is 0.4 mm or larger and 0.04 to 1.0 times as large as the width (W) of the main grooves (1). The communicating grooves (12) have a width (w2) and a depth (d2), each being 0.2 mm or larger and 0.01 to 0.25 times as larger as the width (W) of the main grooves (1). There are two or more communicating grooves (12) within the ground length (L) of the main grooves (1).</p> |
