PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a makeup method which efficiently permeates an active ingredient present in a cosmetic and excels in the feeling of use. SOLUTION: The cosmetic method uses a cosmetic (A) having a pH of 6-8.5, a cosmetic (B) having a pH of 6-8.5 and containing one or more active ingredients selected from a whitening agent, a wrinkle improver, a ceramide production promoter, a blood circulation promoter, a humectant, an anti-inflammatory agent, an antioxidant, and a cell activator, and a cosmetic (C) having a pH of 4.5-6 to less than 6 and comprises firstly using the cosmetic (A), thereafter using the cosmetic (B), and further thereafter using the cosmetic (C).
