PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine having a commodity storage device allowing certain specification of a commodity storage chamber with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: This commodity storage device for the vending machine has: a rotary plate having a plurality of insertion holes bored on a prescribed circle track, and rotating such that one commodity storage chamber storing a commodity to be sold among a plurality of the commodity storage chambers faces to a commodity takeout port; a plurality of radial partition plates having a plurality of projecting pieces inserted in the plurality of insertion holes and projecting from the plurality of insertion holes, erectly provided on the rotary plate so as to section the plurality of commodity storage chambers; and a detector detecting passage of the plurality of projecting pieces so as to specify the plurality of commodity storage chambers when the rotary plate rotates.
