An electrolytic ozone generator has a cathode, and an anode made of electrically conducting diamond or diamond particles. The electrodes are located in a liquid-filled reaction chamber (1, 1'). The diamond anode (5) is doped with Boron and is separate from the cathode by a hydrophilic membrane (8).
