PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality of a visible image by suppressing factors that causes deterioration of visibility, such as unevenness in the density and registration shifts which occur in an outline part of an image forming area, in an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a step for inputting image data for forming a visible image, and a step for analyzing the image data, detecting a plurality of image formation areas to be drawn and correcting color information of outline parts of the image formation areas (S404). The step for correcting the color information specifies the outline parts of areas, where registration shift can occur and outline parts of areas where density irregularity can occur and converts the color information of the outline parts into different color information, on the basis of the color information.
