摘要 The invention relates to trays used to perform oral treatments with high concentrations of oxygen/ozone. Ozone therapy is a technique widely used in various specialties of medicine, including odontology, and work carried out in the specialty has led to the design of devices for use in the treatment of periodontal disease, bleaching and dental caries. In all medical specialties operating concentrations are high and the ozone is always generated from medical oxygen. However, in odontology treatment concentrations are very low and it is sometimes possible to work with ambient oxygen in the mouth. The invention relates to trays having the following essential characteristics: an inner chamber through which the gas flows, micropores (microperforated), a single inlet for the oxygen/ozone gas, connectable to Luer or Luer-lock connection devices, no gas recovery system, use of medical oxygen, and usable with any concentration of ozone permitted in human treatments. The dental trays of the invention can be used for the following treatments: (1) dental bleaching, (2) removal of bacterial plaque and treatment of incipient caries, and (3) treatment of periodontal disease. Unlike the tray of the invention, existing trays: (1) use low ozone operating concentrations, (2) sometimes operate with oral oxygen, (3) are not provided with a chamber or micropores, (4) have multiple gas inlets (very complex), (5) include a gas suction device which removes part of the ozone and prevents the systematic local use of same, (6) comprise personalised trays (increasing the cost of the product), and (7) only treat one arch at a time (treatment is slower and more costly).
