摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the quantitative properties of a fluorescent signal, by restraining metal quenching of fluorescence in fluorescence detection, using a cantilever for a near field optical microscope having a metal probe. SOLUTION: The cantilever 21 for a near field optical microscope is equipped with a conical probe 24, in the vicinity of a free end thereof. The probe 24 includes a thin-film portion 27, constituted by at least one layer of thin film that serves as the surface of the probe 24, and an inner bulk portion 28 covered by the thin-film portion 27.
