GEOMETRIC p-JOSEPHSON-CONTACT

A geometric p-Josephson-contact is disclosed for the technical production of p-Josephson-contacts in large numbers on a substrate in a single-layer technique, based on an unconventional superconductor, the pair potential (I) of which comprises a sign change for different wave vectors (II). A suitably selected form and orientation of the weak link geometry then creates bundled Andreev states in the contact, which, at suitably low temperatures, lead to the p-property of the Josephson contact. The geometric p-Josephson contact can be used with the realization of digital and analog superconductor circuits that are based on combinations of (normal) Josephson contacts and p-Josephson contacts or on combinations of 0-0-SQUIDs and complimentary 0-p-SQUIDs.
