<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular headlamp unit of a projector type in which first and second light source units are arranged at the rear part of a projection lens, and in which a high beam light distribution pattern formed by the illumination light is superior in long distance visibility. <P>SOLUTION: A low beam light distribution pattern is formed by a first light source unit 14, reflecting light from a first light emitting element 32 forward toward an optical axis Ax by a first reflector 34 and then reflecting a part of the reflected light upward by a first mirror component 36. A high beam additional light distribution pattern which spreads upward from cut-off lines of the low beam light distribution pattern is formed by a second light source unit 16, reflecting light from a second light emitting element 42 by a second reflector 44 and a second mirror member 46. At the same time, by reflecting the light from the second light emitting element 42 by a third reflector 48 and then passing the light through a lower space of a projection lens 12, the high beam additional light distribution pattern which straddles at top and bottom of the cut-off lines is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
