PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical beacon capable of easily and accurately adjusting an uplink area when installing a light receiving part on a road. SOLUTION: The optical beacon 4 includes a light receiving part 12 for setting, in a predetermined range on a road R, an uplink area UA which can receive uplink light UO transmitted from an on-vehicle device 2. The light receiving part 12 has a light receiving face 14a for receiving the uplink light UO. The optical beacon further comprises: a light receiving position recognizing part for recognizing a light receiving position on the light receiving face 14a in association with the transmitted position of the uplink light UO; and a display control part 46 for visibly displaying, on a display monitor 45, the recognized light receiving position on the light receiving face 14a.
