<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic watch with a solar cell equipped with a light guide means having an efficient light guide performance to a power generation part formed in the solar cell, capable of acquiring photovoltaic electric energy which is necessary and sufficient for driving the watch under the restriction of the size or thickness of the watch. <P>SOLUTION: This watch is equipped with an outer body; a cover glass fixed to the upper surface of the outer body; the solar cell wherein the power generation part is formed on a belt-like substrate surface having a short side and a long side, and the short side of the power generation part is disposed approximately vertically to the surface of a time display member around a fringe part of the time display member; and a light guide element whose sectional shape is a polygonal shape, for guiding light transmitted through the cover glass to the solar cell. The light guide element is disposed on the light receiving surface side of the power generation part in the solar cell, and the sectional shape of a side on the time display member side constituting the light guide element is a conical curved shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
