PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foot-operated controller for sewing machine capable of selecting the highest sewing speed of the sewing machine without interrupting sewing work. SOLUTION: The foot-operated controller 1 for sewing machine includes: a footboard 11 which can be displaced by the treading operation of an operator; a controller slide base 17 for supporting the footboard so as to be displaced; a variable resistor operation mechanism 13 for detecting the treading amount of the footboard 11; a controller base 18 for turnably pivoting the controller slide base 17; and a rotary type variable resistor 14 for outputting the turning position of the controller slide base 17 as a resistance value.
