The power supply system useful in a motor support system, comprises a device (1) for photochemical conversion of water in its components of hydrogen and oxygen, and a fuel cell system (3). The device for photochemical conversion of water serves for dissolution of water in a semiconductor photocatalyst such as titanium oxide under solar radiation in its components of hydrogen and oxygen. A hydrogen storage (2) is arranged between the photochemical conversion device and the fuel cell system. A pipeline for guiding the water is present in the device for photochemical conversion of water.
