The method involves using a massive structure (11) forming decorative faces e.g. gabions (12a, 12b), and using a reinforcement structure (13) consisting of metallic geosynthetic structures i.e. geogrids (14, 15, 16, 17), in two or three dimensions. The geosynthetic structure is arranged between layers of a compacted embankment. The reinforcement structure is fixed to the massive structure by a connection unit, where the connection unit is constituted of spirally twisted metallic pieces (18) arranged to be screwed through the reinforcing structure and engaged in the massive structure. An independent claim is also included for a device for stabilization of a slope area of a ground.
