PURPOSE:To improve the cycle lift of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery by adding 5-20% in volume ratio of gamma-butyrolactone to total electrolyte, which mainly comprises conventional ones. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 7 is prepared that manganese dioxide baked in the air is mixed with carbon black and fluororesin in weight ratio of 100:5:10 and pressed molding on a collector 8, which is spot-welded to a metal case 1. A negative electrode 4 is prepared that Cd, Bi and Pb in weight ratio of 30:20:50 are mixed and molten to form an alloy and the rolled alloy is cut and press-bonded to a collector 3, which is spot-welded to a sealing plate 2, and a cut Li foil is press-bonded. A specific amount of electrolyte, which is a mixture of propylene carbonate and 1,2-dimethoxyethane in equal volume ratio, further adding gamma-butyrolactone and dissolving lithium perchlorate of 1 mole/L, is poured into material to be impregnated. By the arrangement, a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with large charge and discharge capacity and an enough cycle life is achieved. |
