PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat heat transfer tube capable of improving heat exchanging performance of a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: This heat transfer tube 1 has the flat shape having upper and lower walls 2, 3, and comprises a plurality of fluid passages 7 arranged in the width direction. Two to five inner fins 8 composed of projections extending in the longitudinal direction, are formed on two faces 2a, 3a of the upper and lower walls 2, 3 facing each fluid passage 7. A tube height H is 1.8 mm or less, a tube width W is 20 mm or less, a height h1 of the fluid passage is 1.0 mm or less, a width w1 of the fluid passage is 2.0 mm or less, a fluid diameter Dh is 0.3-1.2 mm, a thickness of the upper and lower walls 2, 3 is 0.4 mm or less. A ratio h2/t of a height h2, h2a of the inner fin to the thickness t of the upper and lower walls 2, 3 satisfies the relationship of 0.5≤h2/t≤2.0, and a ratio p1/w1 of a fin pitch p1 of the plurality of inner fins to the width w1 of the fluid passage 7 satisfies the relationship of 0.15≤p1/w1≤1/n (n is the number of the plurality of inner fins formed on one face).
