PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of accurately and surely notifying an absent person of incoming calls during his/her absence. SOLUTION: A controller 15 determines whether transfer is set when notified from a network controller 11 of an incoming call during absence in which the incoming call ends without offhooking for the incoming call. When transfer setting is set in a storage device of the controller 15, the controller 15 generates a message about the incoming call during absence notified from the network controller 11 and makes a call to a telephone number for transfer stored in the storage device of the controller 15 by using the network controller 11. Then, the generated message is transmitted as voice information by the network controller 11. When transmitting the message, the controller 15 transmits the message while including number information representing the number of incoming calls during absence in the message.
