A propellant loading reference level setup method is provided to increase the propellant loading precision of projectile by setting the propellant loading reference level of projectile. A propellant loading reference level setup method comprises: a step of producing a propellant loading level corresponding to the target propulsion weight of projectile(S1); a step of indicating the calculated propellant loading level on a propulsion boiler of the trial installation(S2); a step of actually producing the weight of the propellant charged on the propulsion boiler(S3); a step of revising the propellant loading level until the actual weight of propellant reaches the target weight of propellant(S4); a step of setting up the revised propellant loading level with the actual propellant loading reference level of projectile(S5).
