<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device and an image forming apparatus, restraining lowering of work efficiency due to angle adjustment for a console panel. <P>SOLUTION: This operating device includes the console panel 20, which has a display part 21 having operating buttons A-C and whose angle to the horizontal plane is freely adjusted. The operating device further includes an angle detecting device for detecting the angle of the console panel 20 and an operating device control part for displaying the shadow parts 30 of the operating buttons A-C in the peripheries of the operating buttons A-C according to the detected angle, whereby when the console panel 20 is tilted to the reference position, the operating buttons A-C displayed on the display part 21 are shadowed to inform a user of the reference position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
