PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm that enables a check on the sounding cause of an alarm without causing a user's wrong recognition of a failure. SOLUTION: The alarm, which issues alarms of alarm events through a sounding means 70 and/or alarm display means 80 and 90, includes a storage means 100 for storing alarm history information including a sounding cause, and a control means 10a for reading out the alarm history information stored in the storage means 100 and reporting the sounding cause through the sounding means 70 and/or alarm display means 80 and 90 in response to an operation of a switch means 4 disposed in a normally inaccessible position of the alarm.
