PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently restrain a moving material such as colored particles from being aggregated, even when adopting an active matrix circuit. SOLUTION: The active matrix circuit for controlling a driving voltage Vd impressed to the colored particle in each pixel is operated to impress the driving voltage Vd to the colored particle corresponding to the pixel provided with a TFT 1001, when the TFT provided in each pixel is under an active state, and not to impress the driving voltage to the colored particle, when under a nonactive state. The active matrix circuit is constituted to add a high-frequency signal to a state selection signal Vg for changing each TFT to either of the active state or the nonactive state, and to impress a high-frequency component added to the state selection signal input into each TFT, to each colored particle.
