PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new water supply control mechanism which can easily ascertain a remaining necessary water supply amount or water supply time period even if water supply is temporarily interrupted, and to provide a new water supply apparatus equipped with the mechanism. SOLUTION: The water supply control mechanism is provided for the water supply apparatus, for supplying water or stopping water supply upon reception of a water supply or water shut-off instruction. The control mechanism has at least a memory section for storing therein an arbitrarily set water supply amount or water supply time period, and a control section for receiving the water supply instruction, and stopping the water supply when the set water supply amount has been supplied or when the set water supply time period has elapsed. Especially after receiving the water supply instruction and before the set water supply amount has been supplied or before the set water supply time period has elapsed, if water supply is stopped upon reception of the water shut-off instruction, information capable of ascertaining the remaining water supply amount or the remaining water supply time period, can be stored in the memory section or another memory section.
