PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack and a charging system for preventing over-charge protective operation of the battery pack during a normal charge operation of the charging device while enhancing safety by decreasing a difference between a terminal voltage and an over-charge detection voltage when the secondary battery is full, in a battery pack equipped with a battery assembly, in which two or more secondary batteries are connected in series. SOLUTION: The battery pack 2 includes: a battery assembly B; a switching element Q1 for disconnecting a charging path; comparators CMP13, 23, 33 and an AND gate AND 3 for turning off a switching element Q1 when any of terminal voltages Vb1, Vb2, and Vb3 exceeds a charge detection voltage Vc; and comparators CMP12, 22, 23 and an AND gate AND 2 for directing decrease of the charge current when any of the terminal voltages Vb1, Vb2, and Vb3 exceeds a prior detection voltage Vp, which is higher than a full-charge voltage of the secondary battery and lower than an over-charge detection voltage Vc.
