<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve various transactions in an open platform by compiling and integrating, by a simple operation, supply side meta data with user side meta data embedded in an ubiquitous environment in various formats. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic commerce providing server 24 is used in a system configured of: a communication network 4; the electronic commerce providing server 24 and information processing equipment 21 which are connected through the communication network 4 in a communication-possible way; and a proximity communication terminal 11 for performing proximity communication through a wave transmission medium with the information processing equipment 21. The electronic commerce providing server 24 receives the supply side meta data acquired from the proximity communication terminal 11 by the information processing equipment 21 and the user side meta data related with the information processing equipment 21 from the information processing equipment 21, and performs transaction settlement by using information obtained by compiling and integrating the user side meta data with the supply side meta data.
