PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storing container for storing makeup or other tool that can be clamped, the container being designed so that a tool is prevented from being detached during the transport of the container and can be easily taken out when the lid of the container is opened. SOLUTION: The storing container includes a case body, a lid attached to the case body via a hinge, and a holding member holding an item that can be clipped within the container. In the container, the attaching part to which the holding member is attached is disposed in the middle of the internal face of the rear wall of the lid. The holding member includes an attachable piece engaged with the attaching part of the lid, and a holding piece connected to the attachable piece via an elastic deformable piece and used for holding an item that can be clipped.
