PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial cable with chronological expansion and contraction restrained of an insulator or a sheath side, and with the transmission loss reduced. SOLUTION: In the coaxial cable C1 having an outer conductor 23 provided at the outer periphery of an insulator 22 of an inner conductor 21, the outer conductor 23 is constituted of an nonwoven fabric layer 23a fitted at an insulator 22 side and a metal foil layer 23b fitted thereon. With the existence of the nonwoven fabric layer 23a, its ruggedness and moderate resilience gives birth to proper slide-preventing function toward the insulator 22 side. Furthermore, due to voids in a nonwoven fabric structure, dielectric constant and dielectric dissipation factor are reduced to aim at lowering of the transmission loss of the cable.
