LUBE OIL CONSUMPTION METERING SYSTEM & MEASURING METHOD

An oil consumption metering system and method are provided to measure the variation in lubricant consumption using an electronic balance and a water level sensor attached to the measuring tank and compute the total lubricant consumption through software program. An oil consumption metering system comprises a flexible rubber hose(5) and a pressure balancing hose(6) installed between an oil pan(1) and a measuring tank(2), temperature sensors(13a,13b) installed inside the oil pan and the measuring tank, a thin film type heater(7) which is installed outside of the measuring tank with being surrounded with a heat insulator, a carriage(9) including a shock absorber(9a) and a support(8), an electronic balance(3) installed between the support and the measuring tank, a water level sensor(4) detecting the water level in the measuring tank with ultrasonic wave, a PLC(10) controlling the system required for the oil consumption measurement, and a data processing unit(11) processing various data according to the oil consumption measurement.
