<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition containing, as the active ingredient, lupeol or its derivative as a triterpene found in plants, for which it has been known to have antimicrobial activity. <P>SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical composition containing lupeol or its derivative as the active ingredient is provided, being intended for suppressing visceral fat increase, for antiobesity, for suppressing extra-low-specific-gravity lipoprotein neutral fat increase, or for hypotensive use.
