<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass run capable of improving the appearance quality, improving the manufacturing operability and reducing the manufacturing cost, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The glass run 1 comprises a main body part 11 having a channel shape cross-section and a pair of seal lips 12, 13. The glass run 1 goes through: a disposition process of disposing a polyethylene (PE) sheet with respect to portions for molding respective door glass sliding surfaces of the seal lips 12, 13 and an inside surface of a ground part 14 among molding surfaces constituting a cavity of a mold; and a charge process of charging molding material into the cavity in which the PE sheet is disposed, whereby a cross-sectional shape having the main body part 11 and both seal lips 12, 13 is formed, the whole area in the longitudinal direction consisting of upper edge part, front vertical edge part and rear vertical edge part 4 corresponding to upper marginal part, front marginal part and rear marginal part of the door glass is integrally formed and sliding layers 21, 22, 23 are formed on inside surfaces of the respective door glass sliding surfaces of the seal lips 12, 13 and the inside surface of the ground part 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
