AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD IN NETWORK HAVING PRIVATE NETWORK

An authentication system and a method are provided to add a simple authentication process besides AAA server authentication in order to provide service to an applied user. A private user data base(200) stores user information for recognizing connection about a private network. An AAA server(11) is connected to a WiBro network and performs the authorization of a terminal(100). An access control router(300) receives the profile of a user from the AAA server. An access control router confirms whether the terminal was registered in the private user data base or not according to the profile of the user. The access control router assigns IP(Internet Protocol) address which is connectable with the private user data base to the terminal. The access control router registers the IP assignment information of the terminal in the private user data base and performs the private authentication with the private user data base.
