METHOD FOR DETECTING HUMAN CYTOCHROME P450 (CYP) 2D6 GENETIC VARIATIONS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that accurately measures the number of CYP2D6 genes, and thereby detects deficiency or duplication of CYP2D6 gene, that is simple and has high accuracy.

SOLUTION: In the detection of deficiency or duplication of CYP2D6 gene, a primer comprising a sequence which is complementary to a sequence that is common to CYP2D6 gene and CYP2D8 gene but is different from CYP2D7 gene and contains one or more bases at the 86 position, 90 position and 93 position of Exon 9 region of CYP2D6 gene is used.
