PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the necessity of the application of at least 15% water before twisting a yarn to twist a rigid paper yarn by a double twister, etc. SOLUTION: A conventional method of directly immersing a cheese wound with a slit tape in a water tank for a long time to apply water to the tape has various problems such as poor productivity, difficulty in achieving uniform twisting and the generation of stain. This new method for solving the problems includes the installation of a water tank in a cheese cover of an existing double twister by immersing a cheese wound with a slit tape in a liquid containing an oil having a purity of about 1.0%, thereby twisting the yarn while constantly applying a definite amount of water to the paper.
