PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breadth adjustment apparatus for a vending machine which can reduce the breadth of an article storage/feed path that may otherwise be gradually increased toward the bottom with articles stored. SOLUTION: The article storage/feed path 4 is formed between a width adjustment plate 21 and one side plate 12a and a link mechanism 61 is formed between the other side plate 12b and the width adjustment plate 21. The link mechanism 61 includes a pair of upper and lower rotational links 62, 63 arranged on the other side plate 12b and a coupling member 64 coupled between free ends 62c, 63c of both the rotational links 62, 63, wherein, the free ends 62c, 63c of the rotational links 62, 63 are engaged with the width adjustment plate 21, a straight distance R1 between both the end parts of the upper rotational link 62 can be extended/reduced. In the opened state of the link mechanism 61, the straight distance R1 of the upper rotational link 62 is made shorter than the length of the lower rotational link 63, and in the closed state of the link mechanism 61, the straight distance R1 of the upper rotational link 62 is extended to the same length as the length R2 of the lower rotational link 63.
