The shuttlecock skirt of the parent Specification is of closed web formation from its cap end to the start of its lattice structure. The skirt may be formed in one with the cap or, as shown, a separate cap is connected to the skirt by a sleeve 23 and a spigot piece 15 which respectively interfit a collar 13 and a sleeve 14 on the skirt.
