PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new organic fluorescent compound which is not affected by oxygen and exhibits the response to a micro-environment. SOLUTION: This organic fluorescent compound is expressed by formula (I) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>8</SP>are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a group expressed by the formula: -NR<SP>9</SP>R<SP>10</SP>or a group expressed by the formula: -NR<SP>11</SP>R<SP>12</SP>, provided that at least one of R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>4</SP>is -NR<SP>9</SP>R<SP>10</SP>, and at least one of the R<SP>5</SP>to R<SP>8</SP>is -NR<SP>11</SP>R<SP>12</SP>; and R<SP>9</SP>to R<SP>12</SP>are each independently an alkyl or an aryl].
