PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that toner adhering to a transfer belt is not stably removed because friction between a cleaning blade and a transfer belt is increased and the cleaning blade is turned up due to environmental change and change with the lapse of time in an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with: the transfer belt 461 which moves adhering toner in such a state that the toner adheres to its surface; the cleaning blade 465 which is provided in contact with the surface; a toner accumulation member 470 on which a part of the toner scraped by the cleaning blade 465 is accumulated; and a toner box 466 in which the toner scraped by the cleaning blade 465 is stored. The image forming apparatus is constituted to supply the toner accumulated on the toner accumulation member 470 to the contact part as a lubricant. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
