An automotive assembly discharges an active chemical ingredient is sprayed into the forward gusset gap between the front wheels and the road surface. The agent reduces the atomic binding forces between tyre and road surface water. In an alternative embodiment the active ingredient is incorporated with in the tyre rubber.
