<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for implementing several two-dimensional operations associated with a single image at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: First and second to-be-processed regions W1 or W2 are configured for the image, and have an overlapped region in which a plurality of pixels e. g. eight pixels are arrayed in the first direction as the X-direction and the predetermined number of pixels e. g. eight pixels are arrayed in the second direction as the Y-direction different from the first direction, and which includes one or more pixel columns e. g. seven pixel columns Ly in the second direction to be overlapped with each other. A one-dimensional operation is implemented to each pixel column included in the first to-be-processed region W1 or W2 in the second direction. A calculation result is stored in a memory.
