<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force transmitting device for a standby four-wheel drive vehicle, which reduces energy consumption during two-wheel drive. <P>SOLUTION: In the driving force transmitting device 1 for the standby four-wheel drive vehicle, either of a pair of front wheels 7 or a pair of rear wheels 14 is used as driving wheels driven by the driving force of an engine 2, and the other is used as driven wheels. Two-wheel drive in which the driving wheels are driven by the driving force of the engine 2 is used during normal time, and when the driving wheel is idling, four-wheel drive in which the driving force of the engine 2 is transmitted to the driven wheels also making rotation transmission mechanisms 9 located on a driven side driving force transmission mechanism 15 as a transmission status of the driving force. The rotation transmission mechanisms 9 are provided at a connection portion between a transmission 3 located on the driven side driving force transmission mechanism 15 and a propeller shaft 10, and a connection portion between a driving shaft 12 and a hub 13, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
