<p>The device has light-emission-able illumination units (5) e.g. LED, arranged on a flexible carrier substrate (1) having a polyethylene terephthalate layer e.g. film, and an aluminum layer e.g. foil, and coated with a transparent seal e.g. highly transparent polymer. Lower and upper side contacts (7, 17) of each unit are connected with power feed lines (3B, 3A) e.g. conductors, respectively. The contact (17) is connected with the line (3A) over a conductive adhesive (21) e.g. ultraviolet-hardening adhesive. The adhesive, the unit and the line (3A) are insulated by an insulation adhesive (23). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a plane illumination device.</p> |
