Spherical surfaces machining device - uses contact device switches on timing component to control feed

A machining device is for workpieces with flat or spherical surfaces. It has a grinding disc which can be moved by a pressure medium towards the workpiece where the switch is of the slow feed for machining results through a contact device, fitted to a puller bar. The puller bar which carries the contact device is so fitted to the grinding disc that these are moved together until they meet a stop. On further feed of the grinding disc the bar is adjusted by the stop. Specifically the contact device (33) fitted to the puller bar (31) switches on a timing component for a given feed section after switching on the slow feed. After expiry of a given adjustable time, the feed motion is terminated.
