PURPOSE:To improve heat transfer rate by a method wherein a nonuniform electric field is given to a condensing heat transfer field by impressing high voltage, a condensate is drawn out of a condensing heat transfer surface by said electric field and removed by a waveguide means. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 2 is provided against a condensing heat transfer surface 1, and a nonuniform electric field is given to a condensing heat transfer field 3 by impressing several thousand volts of high voltage. When a condensate film 4 is formed on the cooled condensing heat transfer surface 1 with vapor condensed thereon, the condensate 4 is drawn out in the direction leaving from the condensing heat transfer surface 1 as indicated by two-dot chain lines. The drawn-out condensate is absorbed in an absorbent cotton 5 and removed from the condensing heat transfer surface 1. Thus heat transfer rate is improved simply to accelerate condensing heat transfer.
