发明名称 RECORDING AND REPRODUCING CIRCUIT FOR VIDEO SIGNAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a superior reproduced signal which has an amplitude and a waveform equal to those of an input signal and has a good S/N, by performing correction in such direction that the average luminance level approaches 50% at a recording time and by performing correction in the opposite direction at a reproducing time. CONSTITUTION:The signal from an input signal source Si is supplied to a converting circuit 10 and an APL detecting circuit 20. In the circuit 10, an average level APL of the input signal is detected by the circuit 20; and in case of a picture where a bright object exists in a dark scene, namely, a low APL or a picture where a black object exists in a bright scene, namely, a high APL, correction is performed in such direction that the APL approaches 50%. The corrected signal from the circuit 10 is recorded on a magnetic tape T and is reproduced. In case of reproducing, the APL of the reproduced signal is detected by an APL detecting circuit 20', and the reverse conversion of the circuit 10 is performed by a reverse converting circuit 10' to obtain an output signal SO'. Thus, a superior reproduced signal having a good S/N is obtained.
